Boys = Destruction

You know what? We totally love our boys!! They are so cute and we can't remember what we did for entertainment before they were born. However, there is a downside to having BOYS... actually, TWIN BOYS. They like to destroy things... times two.

EXHIBIT A:
We always keep the bathroom door closed so they cannot go in and flush important items into the sewer. One day though... the bathroom door apparently did not close good. I went to the kitchen to prepare their lunch... turning my back for about two minutes. When I went looking for them, this is what I found...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Does this speak volumes? What you can't see is that both Adam and David were INSIDE the bathroom cabinet. Plus, a whole roll of toilet paper was put into the toilet, and then taken out again. And then something kind of cute... they had put Clorox toilet bowl cleaner into the toilet! Granted, they put the whole bottle into the toilet, but at least they were on to something and put it in the right place! Despite their efforts to try and "clean" the bathroom, Tyler's $40 electric razor and his Flonase prescription have been reported missing. Even after our extensive investigation, the items have still not been found...

EXHIBIT B:
Just recently, when the boys are in "room time," they started climbing up the changing table to get the baby wipes. They were quietly playing... I thought everything was okay...

EXHIBIT C:
This one's a keeper. I think I need to stop putting them in "room time." They always sound like they're having a grand time, happily playing with each other. However, they are actually conspiring. This is what I walked in on...

I had hidden the wipes, so I thought things would be safe. Little did I know they would use the zebra on the right side of the picture to climb on top of the desk and empty THE ENTIRE BOTTOM SHELF OF THEIR HUTCH. Who would have thunk it??? Well, I moved the zebra away from the desk so they couldn't climb up there anymore... or so I thought. I walked in again a couple of days later and Adam was up on top of the desk AGAIN! He had climbed up the drawer handles... the little monkey!

CONCLUSION:
Needless to say, I check on them A LOT MORE when they're in room time now. And let's face it, they're just being boys and want to learn about everything they can.

And then... those little destructive boys go to sleep. I know in reality they're just "recharging" but it just melts my heart to see them so sweet and cuddly... I think I'll keep them...

How funny! I love these pictures. They are quite resourceful in getting up on that desk! Their little minds are just working overtime to figure out how to get into things. It's so cute!
